Savage X Fenty: Rihanna’s Latest Lingerie Brand Showroom

In March this year, Rihanna opened one of the first Texas-based brick-and-mortar stores featuring her new lingerie collection. This Grammy Award-winning musician and fashion designer first launched Savage X Fenty in 2018 on Instagram. Today, the company is valued at $1 billion. This brand is popular for its gender and body inclusion and is part of the Fenty empire, together with Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty

So, let’s take a look at Rihanna’s new Houston showroom and how we, as a retail branding photography company, got to take the first pics of it. 

Savage Vibe, Neon Lights, and Rihanna’s Music

The store is located on the second level of Houston Galleria Mall. But there’s no way you can miss it. It is designed to pull everyone around into the Savage realm, including those who are not looking for lingerie. 

Radiating colors like sapphire, emerald, and fuchsia; adrenaline, neon lights, and hot music — they all make the Savage X Fenty shop so alluring. There’s also a mannequin wall that displays all body shapes and shows that everyone can find their perfect lingerie in this store.

The whole place looks like a huge dollhouse. Every little detail invites you in and makes you feel welcome and playful. The Savage X Fenty store is also highly Instagramable as well as selfy-ready from every angle. 

Thanks to JP Reps, we at Chad Chenier Photography had the opportunity to work with the store’s design team and do a photoshoot of Savage X Fenty in Houston. Although we often do retail branding photography, Rihanna’s store was an entirely unique experience for us. We are grateful we could be a part of this amazing event and take some of the first photos of Rihanna’s only Texas store.

A Bit About Jorge Perez and His Work

JP Reps is a creative management agency representing an elite group of photographers and brands. It was founded in 2013 by Jorge Perez — an agent-producer who has been working with some of the world’s top photogs and celebrities. The agency connects artists and brands for magazine shoots, retail branding photography, and so much more.

Many people in Perez’s life helped him get where he is now. One of them is Oliver Hicks, his old partner. Once upon a time, they moved together to Los Angeles to start Hicks’ photo production company. But it was Boby Heller, Perez’s old boss, who got him into the photography business.

Jorge Perez has been working as a celebrity artist’s agent for about eighteen years now. He represents photogs, conducts photoshoots, and works with local, national, and clients from around the globe. Perez also holds The Art of Connection Masterclass, where he shares all the secrets that helped him become the “Biggest Connector” in the world. Moreover, he has a podcast platform called Outliers.tv where he’s doing interviews with innovators set on changing the world. 

Perez made his own Bravo docu-reality series, Double Exposure. The show featured renowned photogs Indrani and Markus Klinko. They are famous for their photos of celebrities such as David Bowie, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga, and magazine covers of actors such as Will Smith, Katie Holmes, and Eva Mendes. Jorge was Indriani and Markus’ agent as well as the show’s producer.
