Sazerac House Project Overview

“The Sazerac House is a state-of-the-art interactive cocktail museum, active distillery, corporate headquarters, and event venue all under one roof. Located adjacent to the historic French Quarter, this project revitalizes one of New Orleans’ most prominent corners of Canal Street and Magazine Street.  The full-scale historic rehabilitation and adaptive-reuse incorporates two 1860s-era historic buildings which had remained vacant and derelict for 30 years.  Now complete, the six-story newly renovated 51,987-sq-ft Sazerac House pays homage to the storied history of America’s first mixed-spirits drink and the official cocktail of the city of New Orleans’, not to mention the namesake and homeplace of America’s largest spirits company.  The museum experience immerses visitors in the cocktail culture of the vibrant city of New Orleans through history while elucidating the craft and traditions which inform the creation of spirits into the modern era.” from Ryan Gootee General Contractors.”

It was a pleasure to work with Ryan Gootee General Contractors to highlight the architectural spaces at this very dynamic and detailed facility. Special thanks to Britton Grush for helping with coordination and setting up access approval. We have many images included from this photo shoot available to view on our commercial feature section of our website here.

On your next visit to New Orleans make sure to include a visit to The Sazerac House and see it for yourself!
