Sean Cummings asked me to photograph the latest look at the International House Hotel as they prepare for mardi gras in the city of New Orleans. It is always a festive time of the year and they are ready for visitors.

Exploring the architecture at the Marigny Manor House in New Orleans, Louisiana with an exterior photograph can be very challenging. This shot brings out the full drama of the building by using multiple exposures and waiting for the time of day to cooperate. The photographic techniques used are essential to making this shot come alive.

Interior photography presents challenges for many professional photographers who don’t photograph them regularly.
